The game is set in our day and is based on a series of local conflicts between the three hostile factions.  Several large states skillfully foment military conflicts which later develop into a real civil war in Georgia 1.  The conflict grows and threatens to degenerate into unchecked another cold war between the world's major powers and possibly - to go to the third world war.  To prevent such a development of events the player must do everything possible in the role of a retired US military.  The retired United States Marine Corps sniper Jonathan North makes his way to Georgia to find and eliminate a man with whom the most pleasant memories are not related.  The past is constantly reminiscent of itself and a considerable part of it is occupied by the one who is now directly involved in the Georgian events - and was once part of that period of Jonathan's life about which he tries not to remember.
